We are working within research, and the Logo should symbolise the research project: “Individualised Osteoarthrosis Interventions (IOI)” where the aim is to develop better non-pharmacological interventions for knee osteoarthrosis based on mathematical simulations of the biomechanical properties around the knee and the pain associated. Knee osteoarthrosis is associated with damage of the joint and pain. If you have arthrosis, surgeons, general practitioners and physical therapists will make decisions on treatment based on background knowledge, experience and a significant amount of intuition. Mathematical and biomechanical simulation methods of possible therapies are absent in this field because living organisms are difficult to simulate. We aim in this research project to change that situation by developing advanced biomechanical tools for optimal management of knee osteoarthritis (OA).
